2023 Valentine's Day Looks Perfect For Turning Heads

While Valentine’s Day is a holiday that many may not look forward to, these days we are all about celebrating love in all forms. Whether you're in a relationship, just matched on Hinge, are in the middle of a situationship, or celebrating with friends, Valentine’s Day is a day to look forward to.

There are plenty of fun activities that you can plan no matter your relationship status. Plus, any holiday is a great excuse to go shopping for a new outfit. Let’s get into all the fun plans you can make with friends or with significant others, and what you can wear for each.

Galentine’s Day

One of the best ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day is with your gals. What’s better than getting all of your besties together, popping a few bottles of bubbly, laughing, and celebrating the love of friendship? Not only can you count on having a great time with your pals, but the joy that you get out of these friendships is also good for your health, too. We’re all about win-win situations, so it sounds like Galentine’s Day is here to stay.

In case you didn’t already know, Galentine’s Day is celebrated on February 13th, and was officially a holiday when Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation described it as “the best day of the year.”

While Leslie’s ideal Galentine’s Day is a breakfast-style celebration (which we totally love), we have some additional ideas on how to celebrate, and even some outfit suggestions to go along with your plans.

Karaoke Night

For a fun Galentine’s day activity, plan a karaoke night with your gals. Singing along to 90s love ballads sounds like a great night to us, and there will be plenty of photo ops as each one of you gets a chance in the spotlight. For fun nights like these with your best ladies, a cute jumpsuit in red or pink will give you the freedom to dance and get down when it’s your turn in front of the mic.

Self-Love Spa Night

Show yourself some love while spending time with your gal-pals. A spa night is a perfect way to catch up on all the latest gossip, give yourself a mani/pedi, and relax over a few glasses of wine.

A girl's-night-in calls for warm and cozy matching sets! Check out Cider’s Warm at Home Collection and pick out the coziest and cutest pieces that won't hurt your bank account. The group pics are going to be adorable with everyone in their matching Galentine’s Day looks.

Brunching Babes

We love a good brunch. We love brunch even more when it’s with your closest group of besties celebrating the love that you have for each other. Since this is a special brunch, you’ll want to dress cute for all the obligatory brunch bunch photos you’ll have to take later. We suggest anything in pink, red, or purple from our Feeling Cute Collection.

Since it’s still chilly when Valentine’s Day comes around, a pink, red, or purple sweater would be the perfect top to wear. Paired with a matching skirt or pants will have you looking as sweet as the french toast you’ll be ordering.

Valentine’s Day With Your S.O.

Valentine’s Day is exciting when you can spend the day celebrating and appreciating the love that you have for your significant other. It’s the perfect occasion to show your appreciation for the number one person in your heart. You can do this by planning a fun outing or a romantic night in.

Whatever you plan on doing, you’ll want to look the part, and Cider has you set. Whether you want to wear something bright and bold in the bleak weather, or if you want to glam it up on your fancy date, you’ll look great — and you’ll feel even more amazing!

The Fancy Date

First Valentine’s Day as a couple? This is a big first holiday, and you may be looking to spice it up a bit by wearing a look that’ll make everyone's head turn, and your date’s jaw drop. Luckily, you won’t have to stress over your outfit with Cider’s Love Wonderland Collection.

Anything you could want for a fancy date night out can be found here. Want a total-on-theme look? Go for pink, red, purple, and anything with hearts. You can look sweet or sexy in a variety of outfits that are perfect for this love-filled occasion.

If theme dressing isn’t quite your style, you can still look sizzling for your hot date. A neutral set or little black dress will still give you the hot-date vibes. Slinky dresses with cowl necklines that show off your curves in all the right places will have every head turn in your direction.

These outfits look amazing, especially when they are paired with the right accessories, and for Valentine’s Day, we can’t think of a better accessory than a red lip.

Staycation

If your partner’s love language is quality time, then it won’t matter where your loved one goes; it just matters that they spend quality time with you. They may not even want to bother with going out on the town and going on a date, but would rather stay at home and plan a special evening. This can be a fun game night or movie night, or if your partner is an amazing chef you can plan your own romantic dinner in the comfort of your own home.

After a long day at work, a staycation may be just what you both need. Since it is Valentine’s Day though, you likely want to dress up a little for the occasion while still staying comfortable. We have just what you need with our sweet and sexy loungewear that will definitely make your significant other’s head turn.

Mini-slip dresses are perfect for wearing around the house, and you’ll sizzle in satin fabrics. A lace-trimmed robe is just the thing to wear when popping open a bottle of champagne for a Valentine’s Day toast, and frilly loungewear is sweet and hugs you in all the right places.

The Fun Date

If you and your significant other love to have fun on your outings, consider having a Valentine’s Day date night at an arcade. Playing each other at skeeball, air hockey, and pinball can get both of your competitive spirits going.

If you love the idea of having fun for Valentine’s Day, you can also plan a game night and invite some of your closest couple friends. Enjoy appetizers, drinks, and fun as you get through all the games. After all of your friends head home, pull out the Twister for your own private game night.

For game nights in any capacity, you’ll want a cute outfit that will also catch the eye of your significant other. A fun top and wide-legged pants will be the perfect outfit for active and game-filled nights.

Day Dates

If you and your significant other have crazy schedules, you may want to consider a day date to celebrate Valentine’s Day. This could consist of a romantic lunch, or going to a cooking class.

Either way, it’s always fun to get out in the town during the day, especially if it’s the only time that you are both available. Relationships take work, and that may mean scheduling date times for when you are both free.

Day dates really give you the chance to be a little more casual, but still dress up a little. A cute cardigan in pink, purple, red, or pink will be absolutely perfect for whatever daytime excursion you two have planned.
